Fayette County Republican Women's Education Programs
Fayette County Republican Women seek to provide and promote educational programs that teach the foundational principles of American government and the conservation of American values and freedoms as delineated in our country’s founding documents. In keeping with this goal, we are offering the following educational opportunities for the students of Fayette county.
FCRW 2021 Scholarship Program
In 2021, Fayette County Republican Women are pleased to offer a $5,000 scholarship opportunity to one graduating senior student (male or female) who has applied to, been accepted at, and plans to attend Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. For information on all aspects of Hillsdale College, including admission and application procedures, and to understand why we are so eager to help a deserving Fayette county student attend this institution of higher learning, visit www.hillsdale.edu . Scholarship funds will be paid directly to Hillsdale College and credited to the scholarship winner’s Hillsdale account #.
The applicant must be a graduating senior who is a resident of Fayette County and attends one of the following: Round Top-Carmine High School, Fayette High School, Flatonia High School, Schulenburg High School, La Grange High School, or Faith Lutheran High School of Central Texas. Home schooled students who are receiving an accredited high school degree are also eligible and will be given equal consideration. FCRW members’ friends and family are not prohibited from applying and will, also, be given equal consideration.
Applicants will be evaluated based on their leadership activities in school and local organizations, their conservative values and goals, recommendations from teachers and community leaders, and essays written by the applicant.
Please note: Because the short answer essay questions on our application are reflective of the causes and principles for which our organization stands, we cannot accept or consider the substitution of a generic scholarship application.
The application form and cover sheet, with detailed criteria and instructions, are available from high school counselors or can be downloaded from the above links.
Applications should be mailed to:
FCRW Scholarship Chairman
P.O. Box 744, La Grange, TX 78945
• The original application must be postmarked by May 1st, 2021.
• Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
• For questions, please contact Carole Bourlon at (979) 247-4050 or via email: email@example.com
Please note: Scholarship recipient must provide FCRW with Hillsdale College contact information and his or her Hillsdale student ID or account # by October 31st, 2021 to avoid forfeiture of scholarship monies.
